Discover Turkmenistan in just four days, exploring the white-marble capital of Ashgabat, the ancient Silk Road city of Merv, and the fiery Darvaza Gas Crater. Experience the unique cultural heritage of Nohur village and its tribal traditions. This concise itinerary maximizes your time with a perfect blend of history, architecture, and natural wonders.

Day 1: Ashgabat to Darvaza

• Meet your guide at Ashgabat International Airport.
• Complete visa formalities and COVID testing (if required by current regulations) at the airport.
• Explore the Old Nisa archaeological site (UNESCO World Heritage).
• Drive to Darvaza, stopping to view the “Mud” and “Water” gas craters along the way.
• Evening visit to the Fiery Gas Crater (The “Gates of Hell”).
• Overnight in a traditional yurt near the crater.

Meals: BBQ Dinner

Day 2: Darvaza to Ashgabat & Nohur Village

• Depart for Ashgabat in the morning.
• Lunch in a traditional restaurant upon arrival.
• Visit Nohur village in the Kopetdag mountains, exploring unique tribal cemeteries and local pilgrimage sites.
• Return to Ashgabat and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Ashgabat to Ancient Merv (Full Day)

• Start at 09:00 with a drive to Mary for a full day of sightseeing in Mary town and Merv History Park (UNESCO site).
• Explore Merv, an ancient city that served as a major center for international trade and crafts on the Silk Road.
• Discover historical landmarks including the Sultan Sanjar Mausoleum, Large and Small Gyz Gala, Erk Gala, Gyaur Gala, and Keshk Fortress.

• Visit the local Russian Orthodox Church.

• Drive back to Ashgabat for overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Ashgabat City Tour & Departure

• Take a comprehensive sightseeing tour of Ashgabat city.
• Visit the Turkmenbashi Ruhy Mosque and the Mausoleum in Gypjak.

• Evening visit to one of the city’s modern shopping and entertainment centers (Arkach or similar).
• Transfer to Ashgabat International Airport based on your flight schedule.
